TCI Udayana University attended a FGD event related to the role of Mandarin in society 5.0 era organized by the Confucius Institute (CI) University of Sebelas Maret, Thursday (11/18/2021). This event was attended by eight CIs throughout Indonesia, namely CI of Sebelas Maret State University, CI of Hasanuddin University, CI of Tanjung Pura University, CI of Maranatha University, CI of Malang State University, CI of AL Ashar University, CI of Surabaya State University. I Made Sendra as Director of TCI Indonesia in his presentation stated that the FGD facilitated by CI of Sebelas Maret State University has an important meaning to be able to exchange ideas and share experiences in managing CI throughout Indonesia. Considering that Udayana University TCI is the last CI that was established, of course there is a lot to learn both regarding the scope of cooperation, governance, budgeting, and other work programs. This FGD activity was started by a speech from the Chancellor of the Sebelas Maret State University who was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In his remarks, he advised that through the FGD activities carried out by CI UNS, it is hoped that they will be able to increase friendship and exchange experiences in advancing Mandarin language learning in Indonesia and improve various work programs which are later expected to advance their respective universities and the Indonesian nation to be able to take part in the international world.
